UGGC & ASSOCIÉS BROADENS ITS INTERNATIONAL REACH TO ASIA
On Friday March 14th, the law firms ADAMAS and UGGC & Associés signed an agreement whereby the former teams of ADAMAS Asia join UGGC & Associés.
Franck Desevedavy, Olivier Dubuis, Olivier Lefébure, Alina Quach and Arnaud Depierrefeu are set to join the 28 current partners of UGGC & Associés.
Franck Desevedavy and Alina Quach are based in Beijing while Olivier Dubuis and Arnaud Depierrefeu are settled in Shanghai. Franck Desevedavy, lawyer at Taipei Bar, is also in charge of the Taiwan office. Olivier Lefébure is the partner in charge of the “Asia Desk” in Paris.
This new international expansion answers the increasing needs of UGGC & Associés’ clients and is part of a global development (after Brussels and Casablanca) in emerging markets.
Their new Asian team has, for several years now, been developing a consistent and acknowledged practice in favour of large French and international groups. Their practice covers all the areas required for foreign investments in Asia: corporate law (joint ventures, M&A…), financing law, intellectual property law, environment law, distribution law and litigation. They also have long established very solid contacts with local Chinese, Taiwanese or Indian law firms, and this allows them to act on behalf of Chinese, Taiwanese and Indian companies investing in France.
The team’s very strong presence in Asia will allow the firm to assist its clients in their investment and business projects. The positioning in India is also a major advantage in a market with such a high potential.
The creation of an “Asia Desk” in France will also enable UGGC & Associés to work directly with their European clientele on Asian business matters.
